Living Form 

The residency and the studio space is design by the artist Poornima Jayasinghe in collaboration with Chinthaka Thenuwara by using mostly reclaim materials. The studio space is totally constructed with donated materials by various individuals. The ordinary consumer objects of daily life collected by the artists from the neighborhood and friends converted into functional Art objects and exhibit at the venue.

The architectural structure and art objects create physical and conceptual spaces unfolding multiple histories and narratives of our time. In the same time these objects and Architectural elements are cable of creating interaction according to its special relationships.

During the CAB 2016, the space viewed as a co-product of proceedings happening at the venue. The space did not  contain  within one social, political or cultural category. It  included different aspects of many categories or developed within the boundaries of various categories of space according to its functional relationships. During the event space utilized  as a multifunctional space. The space  function as:

The Artists, Poornima Jayasinghe and Chinthaka Thenuwara address the notion of space through various activities happening in their own studio and residency space.

Artists create a thought production of space in relation to spatial existence based on:

Home for Poornima and Chinthaka also runs as CoCA, Collective of Contemporary artist’s studio and residency space. Which creates a vital act of duality of concepts through space and blur the forms of art and everyday life.

The artist’s duo takes the same Art objects and architectural elements and  link into their individual art practice. The artist Chinthaka Thenuwara, within his art practice, represent ‘Time’ as a symbolic process and deals with an inherentpersonal, socio political and cultural context of our time. While, Poornima Jayasinghe uses the same objects and elements and will create a platform to generate a dialogue related to contemporary Art making and marketing. The artists have two different reading which compromise each other for the same art  objects, elements and procedures they produce collaboratively together.
