Interactive discussion session with the TEDx youth about agribusiness which underpins modern economies, politics and lifestyles
Recycled papers are embedded with various seeds such as brinjal, chili, tomato, herbs and wildflower seeds. The papers also, contains natural nutritious which helps plants to grow. These papers will be cut into different size circular shapes, mix together and leave for participants to use.
All, participants sat in a circular form. Each participant is given a dinner Plate and seed papers. Participants can past seed papers on the plate using flour paste and can pass the plate to the next participant. The participants will interact with each other and continue this activity till they finish seed papers.
At the end this will look like a network of seeds. Seeds sustain us not only in food it is part of global scale agribusiness underpins modern economies, politics and lifestyles.
The long and fascinating story of our humankind we have a strong association with seeds. Nature provide us the seeds and we make the choices. Which ones to grow, take care which ones to ignore or even destroy? Consciously or unconsciously our connection and attitudes towards these tiny seeds make effect on global environment, economy and politics.
At the end of the session participants can remove the seeds papers from the patterns created and take home and grow with love. The participants may not know which seeds contain in the papers until it grows. The seed may grow, or it may not grow. The seeds papers may contain nutritious, seeds of food plants, flowering plants or a wild plants. The results of growing the paper seeds will have direct or indirect impact on us. The tiny pieces of seed papers we hold in our hand is a result of choices we made in the past from the very early settlements of our civilizations related to seeds. Which made more complex global network of power struggles related to mind, society and environment. Today, seed paper leaves us a choice to make an effect on our future base on the past results.
